Jamberoo

An adventurous mix of rolling hills & thrills

Just a short drive from the ocean, Kiama’s coastal vibe gives way to a series of open fertile valleys and lush foothills. But don’t let those sleepy Illawarra Shorthorn cows fool you — Jamberoo is a great place for an adventure fix. From the rainforest-clad escarpment, you’ll take in stunning panoramic views north across the region at a treetop walk like no other or soaring through trees on a zipline tour. Or head over to NSW’s favourite water theme park.

Minnamurra Rainforest is a lush reminder of what this entire region looked like some 200 years ago and features an accessible friendly loop track. At the centre of all this is the undeniably picturesque village of Jamberoo. Its local pub is a gathering place, waterhole and museum for visitors and locals alike. This is a town where music festivals ring out through the valley, where classic vehicle enthusiasts ride alongside lycra-clad cyclists, and where the traffic always gives way to the cattle.
